Sales Manager

 

Sensequake is currently seeking a sales manager to join its team in downtown Montreal. The ideal candidate will increase the company sales to municipalities, Federal and provincial governments, civil engineering firms, insurance firms, and universities. He will develop new customers and finalizes sales. He or she will track public tender websites and prepare sales proposals in response to the RFP. The main responsibility of the candidate would be generating leads and increasing company pipeline and sales.

 

Job description:

⦁    Generating new leads, managing the sales pipeline and deliver the               revenue target

⦁    Developing new clients, Finalizing new sales

⦁    Cold calling and email campaigns 

⦁    Attending trade shows and worldwide conferences

⦁    Daily communication with customers: quotes and orders, sales logistics and follow-ups.

⦁    Use of CRM for documenting customer correspondence

⦁    Develop new sales strategies for both sensors and services

⦁    Gain knowledge about Sensequake’s technology

⦁    Publicize the company and utilize social media.

⦁    Contribute to the product roadmap and value proposition

 

Requirements:

⦁    Bachelor degree in business, MBA, marketing

⦁    Minimum 5 years of sales experience in civil engineering services

⦁    Good knowledge of Hubspot and Microsoft office

⦁    Strong social and presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

⦁    Proven abilities in relationship building, networking, and account strategy       management

⦁    Fluent in English and French, written and spoken

⦁    Passion for technology, Self-motivated and a team player

⦁    Willing to travel in Canada and other countries as much as needed for           sales and attending trade shows

⦁    Own a car and having a valid driving license

⦁    Being a Canadian citizen

 

Assets:

⦁    Experience in sales and marketing. Experience in start-ups

⦁    Bachelor degree in structural engineering

⦁    Experience with engineering consulting firms

Structural engineer

 

The structural engineer will contribute in the development of the following aspects of the technology and software:


⦁    Extending the 3D-SAM technology to bridges; this task will include direct       seismic assessment of bridges based on ambient vibration test without         making any finite element model
⦁    Direct seismic assessment of flexible roofs based on ambient vibration         tests
⦁    Structural analysis of buildings with wind loading directly based on                 ambient vibration tests
⦁    Modification factors to estimate non-linear response from the linear               analysis
⦁    Implementing P-delta effects
⦁    Soil-structure interaction in ambient vibration levels and its                             implementation when the structure is subjected to strong earthquakes
⦁    Damage detection based on ambient vibration tests
⦁    Non-structural assessment based on ambient vibration tests
⦁    Consulting based on Sensequake technology
⦁    Writing engineering reports
⦁    Communication with clients 
⦁    Presenting the technology in different venues 

 

Expertise and skills needed:

⦁    Over 3 years of experience in structural dynamic analysis, design, and           retrofit
⦁    Master or Ph.D. degree in structural/earthquake engineering
⦁    Strong background in physics, mathematics, structural analysis and               earthquake engineering, advanced dynamic and non-linear analysis 
⦁    Proficiency to work with the following software: Opensees, Sap2000,             Etabs, AutoCAD, Matlab, and other Finite element software
⦁    Experienced in structural design and retrofit schemes 
⦁    Experienced in shake table and sensing test is an asset
⦁    Membership in the OIQ is an asset 
⦁    Knowledge of the Canadian and the US design codes is an asset
⦁    Strong communication and writing skills in both English and French

Software developer

 

 

The ideal candidate would have experience in C# programming and cloud-based software development. Other tasks include:


⦁    Migrating the current software to a web-based software
⦁    Working with civil and mechanical engineers to add features to our               product 
⦁    Working with Autodesk APIs

 

Necessary expertise and skills:

⦁    Bachelors degree in computer science or software engineering
⦁    Over 2 years of programming experience
⦁    Experience in C# programming and Math.NET Numerics library
⦁    Familiarity with UI programming using C#, WPF and XAML
⦁    Experience in CAD interface development

⦁    Knowledge of MATLAB and micro-controller programming
⦁    Knowledge of the MVVM paradigm
⦁    Knowledge about cloud services and software created for the cloud
⦁    Basic knowledge of linear algebra (matrices, vectors, matrix                           diagonalization...)

Electronics engineer

 

We are developing highly sensitive wireless sensor units for ambient vibration measurement. The ideal candidate would be involved in all the steps of this exciting project from analog design to the wireless network, embedded programming, PCB design, prototype fabrication and testing. 

 

Necessary expertise and skills:

⦁    Bachelors degree in electronics or computer engineering

⦁    Over 3 years of experience in embedded system design 
⦁    Low-noise mixed signal circuit design 
⦁    Extensive Experience in embedded system programming, TI MSP430, and ARM Cortex or similar
⦁    Knowledge of precision ADCs, and programming peripherals using SPI,       I2C
⦁    Advanced knowledge of C, and compilers such as IAR or CCS
⦁    Knowledge of RTOS, Contiki, etc.
⦁    Experience in wireless sensor networks, the IEEE 802.15.4 standard,           low-power multi-hop radios, synchronization methods
⦁    Hands-on experience in PCB design, soldering
⦁    Familiar with the IoT and cloud services

Mechanical engineer

 

The ideal candidate would have experience in the time and frequency domain modal identification algorithms such as the stochastic subspace. The candidate would continue developing our modal identification software, review state of the art algorithms and patents. Other tasks include:


⦁    Developing new modal identification techniques 
⦁    Automating the existing algorithms 
⦁    Developing new damage detection algorithms based on operational               modal analysis 
⦁    Contributing to the development of wind analysis software based on             operational modal analysis
⦁    Contributing to the development of seismic assessment software for             bridges based on operational modal analysis
⦁    Designing mechanical parts of vibration sensor units
⦁    Consulting based on Sensequake technology
⦁    Writing engineering reports
⦁    Presenting Sensequake in different venues

⦁    Master’s or Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or mathematics
